About World Ticket Market

Is World Ticket Market the event organizer?

No. World Ticket Market is a marketplace. Events are organized by clubs, leagues, promoters and venues, and tickets are supplied by external ticket suppliers. See our Terms of Use.

Are tickets sold on the secondary market?

Some tickets may come from the secondary market, meaning they are resold rather than sold for the first time by the organizer. See primary and secondary market.

Why can the price differ from the face value?

Prices are set by the market and can be higher or lower than the price printed on the ticket, depending on demand and availability. See face value and resale price.

Orders and seats

Is my order immediately confirmed?

No. Placing an order sends a request. Prices and availability are checked again at checkout, and the order is confirmed only when the supplier confirms the booking and we tell you so. See order confirmation.

Where can I see my order?

Sign in and open My orders. Each order shows its reference, the payment status and the fulfilment status. See also after placing an order.

Will our seats be together?

Not always. Unless the listing says the seats are together, tickets in the same order may be in the same category but not side by side. See adjacent seats.

Can my ticket category be substituted or upgraded?

If the category you ordered cannot be supplied, the supplier may provide tickets in an equivalent or better category. If you receive a lower category, contact us. See equivalent seating and substitution.

Delivery and entry

When will my tickets arrive?

Timing depends on the event and the supplier. Many tickets are delivered close to the event date. Check the status in your order and read when your tickets will arrive.

Why can delivery be close to the event?

Organizers often release tickets, or allow them to be transferred, only shortly before the event. Delivery close to the event is common and is not in itself a sign of a problem. See late delivery.

How are tickets delivered?

Depending on the event, tickets may be delivered as:

  • electronic PDF tickets
  • mobile tickets, sometimes in a mobile wallet
  • a transfer through a club, venue or ticketing app
  • physical tickets, including hotel delivery or local collection

The method for your order is set by the product, the supplier and the organizer, and is stated in your order confirmation. See our Ticket Guide.

Do I need an app?

Sometimes. Some tickets can only be used through the official app of a club, league or venue. If so, your order instructions will say which one. See app registration.

Can the ticket show another person's name?

Yes, some tickets show the name of the original ticket holder. Follow the instructions given for your order. Whether a ticket in another name is accepted depends on the organizer and the ticket type. See named tickets.

Do I need an identity document?

Often, yes. Venues and organizers may ask for identification at entry, and some events require a passport. Check your order instructions and see identity documents.

Can I duplicate or resell my ticket?

No. Copying a ticket is prohibited and can make it invalid. Resale may be restricted by the organizer or by law. See resale and duplication.

Event changes and cancellations

What happens if the event date changes?

Event dates and times can change, especially for sports fixtures. Your tickets usually remain valid for the new date or time. See event date changes.

What happens if the event is postponed?

Tickets usually remain valid for the new date. A refund is generally not available only because of a postponement, unless the organizer or supplier offers one or the law requires it. See postponed events.

What happens if the event is cancelled?

Your order becomes eligible for a refund review. Eligibility and the refundable amount depend on the organizer's and supplier's terms, the order status and mandatory law. See cancelled events.

Can I cancel because my flight was cancelled?

If the event goes ahead, travel disruption is not in itself a ground for cancelling a confirmed order. Some suppliers allow a transfer to another attendee, and we can check on request. See inability to attend.

Help and support

What should I do if the ticket does not work?

Stay at the venue, record the error where allowed, and contact us immediately. Do not share your barcode with anyone. See if a ticket fails at the entrance.

What information should I send to support?

Your order reference, the event, the attendee name, the delivery email address, a screenshot of any error and, if urgent, your location and local time. See the support checklist.

How is my personal data used?

We use your details to run your account, process your orders, deliver your tickets and support you. We share with ticket suppliers only what is needed to fulfil your order. See our Privacy Policy.

How do I contact the company?

Use the contact details in the panel at the end of this page. Quote your order reference, if you have one, so we can find your order quickly. See also our Terms of Use.
